A disciple is . . . . a learner . . . . . a student. No matter the age, it’s a lifelong journey of discovery!
We provide a program for children from an infant’s crib room through grade eight. In addition to exploring biblical stories in depth, our classes also participate in a variety of service and fun activities throughout the year. Children are in worship for the first 10-15 minutes of the service. Following the children’s message they go downstairs for Sunday School.
Junior and Senior High Youth Groups
Our youth groups provide a mixture of fun, friendship, spiritual growth, and service. Our groups are open to all the youth of the community. Students help plan the activities. Our summer youth mission trip is always one of the highlights of the year. It’s open to students grades 8 – 12.
We provide an experience for eighth graders and above that helps them feel at home in the church and prepares them to be active participants. We strive to help them learn the basics of the Christian faith as well as develop their spiritual lives and their relationship with God.
An ongoing Bible Study group meets every Wednesday morning.
Our church has a Women’s Book Group as well as a Men’s Book Group. Both groups meet for fellowship and to discuss books of common interest.
Pastor Tony leads an adult class after service. The current topic is “Talking About End-of-Life Issues”, with materials from the UCC’s Still Speaking Writers Group and other resources, and guest speakers talking about funeral planning and estate planning.
