Rev. Dr. Richard Knight's Biography

Dr. Richard B. Knight began his ministry at Trinitarian Congregational Church on January 25, 2010. Prior to coming to North Andover Rich was at First Parish Church in York, Maine for 14 years, and Ridge Valley U.C.C. in S Rich Knight's Biography Dr. Richard B. Prior to coming to North Andover Rich served First Parish Church in York, Maine for 14 years, and Ridge Valley U.C.C. in Sellersville, Pennsylvania for 13 years.

Rich grew up in Souderton, Pennsylvania, which is in the southeastern part of the state. He is a graduate of Muhlenberg College, Princeton Theological Seminary, and Eastern University, where he received his Doctor of Ministry degree in Marriage and Family Ministry.

Rich enjoys the wide variety of pastoral work -- preaching, worship, pastoral care, crisis ministry, spiritual direction, counseling, teaching, and working with children and youth. He loves to lead Bible studies and book clubs and regularly offers them throughout the year. Rich has been a youth group leader his entire ministry and has lead 12 mission trips for teens. This summer Rich and the youth of Trinitarian Congregational Church will travel to Franklin, NH for a week of service and spiritual growth, joining with 300 other youth from across the country. He’s also helped lead mission trips with adults to Honduras and New Orleans.

Rich is married to Alisa Pearson Knight. Alisa also received her M. Div. degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, as well as her C.S.W. degree from Rutgers. They have a beautiful baby girl named Madison (“Maddie”). Rich also has two wonderful sons, Benjamin and Samuel. Together as a family they enjoy hiking, camping, playing games and sports, as well as, closely following the Red Sox and Patriots!
